Located on page 7-10 in the 2008 Description & General Condition Report - Welded & Riveted Steel Construction, Hull divided by 3 transverse watertight (est.) bulkheads into raked bow and stern with two transverse mid body compartments. Approx. 104’x29’x8’. Believed to be constructed prior to 1936 and former property of US Corps of Engineers - The “workshop” is approx 94’x23’x11’6” and is steel frame with corrugated metal siding, front workshop area, storage, and bathroom, Also has Unit 1520T/271U Stationary Crane mounted at aft of the building - Crane does not run
Crane Barge (3101) -
Located on page 16-18 in the 2008 Description & General Condition Report - Flat Deck Type, Welded & Riveted Steel Construction, Hull divided by four transverse and two longitudinal bulkheads into a raked bow and stern with three port and starboard and three centerline mid body compartments, Approx. hull dimensions 80’x26’x6’. Believed to be constructed in 1931 by Alabama Dry Dock & Shipbuilding Company at Mobile and has a pedestal mounted P&H T200 20-Ton Stationary Crane

Flat Deck Barge (B7) -
Located on page 23-25 in the 2008 Description & General Condition Report - Flat Deck Type, All Steel Welded Construction, Originally designed for the transport of Rock and Machinery, Hull divided by five transverse and one longitudinal watertight (est) bulkheads to form a raked bow and stern and with four port and starboard mid body compartments, Approx. hull dimensions 150’x33’x8’. A sheet metal quonset Hut storage building at the deck plating near amidships, reportedly built in 1948. The barge had original markings of US G7 and was believed to have originally been a US Corps of Engineers barge.
Flat Deck Barge (B1) -
Located on page 25-27 in the 2008 Description & General Condition Report - Flat Deck Type, All Steel Welded Construction, double raked, Hull divided by four transverse and one longitudinal bulkheads to form a raked bow and stern and with three port and starboard mid body compartments, Approx. hull dimensions 128’x32’x8’, reportedly built in 1937 by Alabama Dry Dock & Shipbuilding Co in Mobile, The barge is currently aground and believed to have a hole in it.

A 10% Buyer’s Premium will be charged on all purchases at this auction. Applicable Mississippi sales tax will be charged at this auction.
A Complete Payment in U.S. Funds must be made on the day of the auction. We accept checks only with a guaranteed letter of credit from your bank. Please fax that letter to 501-664-4538 and present the original when registering at the auction. We accept cash. We do not accept credit cards. If you would like to wire transfer funds, please call for pre approval. Buyers are 100% responsible for inspection and ultimate determination of current condition, dimensions, specifications and usability of each item to their satisfaction before bidding. AUCTION SCHEDULE & EQUIPMENT INSPECTION:
The auction will begin at 9:00 am Sharp. Come early - Inspection begins at 7aM that morning. Blackmon auction employees will be on site for inspection the day before the auction from 8:00aM ‘til 4:30PM. REGISTRATION & AUCTION FORMAT:
In order to bid at this auction you must register and receive a bid number. You will register at the auction site. You will need a Driver’s License or Passport. There is no fee for registration. This is a public auction.
REMOVAL OF EQUIPMENT:
Removal of all items will be the sole responsibility of each buyer. Kendall Crane is a local, insured, crane company who will be on site to quote prices and load. He is familiar with the area and Superior Boat Works. Call Kendall at 662-335-1734 for more information. The floatability of each item has not been confirmed. Many of the barges are “pinned” or otherwise attached to neighboring barges. Coordinating with buyers of adjacent items will be the sole responsibility of the buyer. as is standard practice at all auctions, the buyer should, upon the fall of the gavel, make sure those purchases are insured for liability purposes and to the extent one might wish beyond that.
